"And We're Back!!!!!" - (from a great but unknown SNL skit where Jimmy Fallon played an obnoxious radio host-Joey Mack.)

Okay, so this is not going like I thought it would a bit bizarre to write about yourslef and have absolute strangers reading it, but I've been doing mostly reading so why not try some writin..hmmm??

Okay, last night I believe we saw the first good look at the Yankees playoff lineup. And all you can say is....it's freaking scary!

Sheff was batting...seventh, ridiculous! I don't see how anyone can stop this lineup, okay maybe Yohan Santana of the Twinnies can, but I don't see him doing it twice. This should potentially be a walk for the Yanks, the toughtest part of this quest for the 27th ring is going to be getting through the AL. The NL is a mess, sure it's exciting watching these teams battle it out to suddenly have a chance to get in (where did Houston come from and when did they start scoring runs?!).

The Yanks have handled the other teams that are going to be in the playoffs fairly well this season. We went 5-2 vs. Detroit, split 3-3 with the Twinnies, however, the only team that gave us trouble this year (besides the LA LA Land Angels..."I hate you Kyle!") is the Oakland A's who we went 3-6 against.

The one upside to look at is we last played the A's back on June 11th (when they swept us at home I might ad) the Yanks however are a much different team than we were almost 5 months ago. This was a team that was realing from the loss of Matsui and Sheffield and the bullpen was pretty much a mess up to that point as well. Fast forward to where we are now, the media might have you believe that the Yanks starters are hurting (Moose thumb, Randy back) but I think with the rest and the fact that we've have had the divsion clinched for almost 2 weeks that the start of the playoffs will bring back the fire that got us to where we are today.

This weekend will decide who the Yanks will be beating up for the divisonal series, I think most fans would say that we would rather play the Tigers right now than anyone else, but let's be realistic here and just say that this team is ready for any and all comers. Bring it Yohan!!!
